Covid Guidance

Updated 5/19/22

If your child comes in close contact with another positive covid person (non-household member) your child may continue to attend our program.

We ask that you closely monitor your child for symptoms. If your child begins to experience symptoms, please keep them home from Story Book, consult a healthcare provider, and contact Story Book with results.

When to quarantine: Please see each specific classroom guidance as well as the family section for ALL classrooms:

  • Infants: If positive, quarantine 10 days from the start of symptoms, and be 24 hr fever free with improving symptoms before return.

  • Toddlers: If positive, quarantine 10 days from the start of symptoms, and be 24 hr fever free with improving symptoms before return.

  • PS: If positive, quarantine 10 days from the start of symptoms, and be 24 hr fever free with improving symptoms before return.

  • School Age (K-12): If positive, quarantine 5 days from the start of symptoms, and be 24 hr fever free with improving symptoms before return + child is required to wear a mask for an additional 5 days. If the child is unable to keep the mask on properly, the child may be asked to stay home until their 10 days have been completed.

  • Staff: If positive, quarantine 5 days from the start of symptoms, and be 24 hr fever free with improving symptoms + required to wear a mask for an additional 5 days. If an immediate/household adult family member is positive, please wear a mask and return to work as usual.

  • Families: If any immediate/household family member is positive, your child must stay home until the positive person can return to work/school/child care based on guidance above. If your child develops symptoms during this time, they must consult a healthcare provider, then follow up with Story Book.
