Fall Open House
Families (current and future) joined us for our fall open house. This was a great chance to meet or chat with our teachers, tour our building, and participate in some activities set up to showcase some things each age group does through out the day.
Our preschool room had a small group activity set up, toddlers had a make and take art activity, and our infants had a music and movement activity set up. In addition, we were able to showcase our new playground redesign and practiced some gross motor play with families!

Field Trip: Antique Carousel
Every year we hold a field trip to Story City Antique Carousel to celebrate Story Book's anniversary in August. This event includes all ages of the children we serve from infants - school age. We invite our program's families to join us for this fun day too! It is great to support this historic attraction in our community.
Water Safety
Guest Speaker: Treasa Ferrari
Our summer School Age Group enjoyed guest speaker, Treasa Ferrari from Story County Public Health. Treasa spoke with the group on how to be safe near water. Her lesson included proper life jacket wearing and what to do in a water emergency.
